(sigh) How I wish that life was filled with music. Not the songs on the radio or CDs that require electricity, but the music that accompanies movies. Silly, I know, but I walk out of a theater wondering why reality can’t have a soundtrack. It would make life more interesting and enjoyable, don’t you think? Not just waking up every morning and hearing birds communicating but having an orchestra accompany them. Oh, what joy that would be!
I guess, that’s one of the reasons I like movies so much – the music. It makes movies exciting, riveting even. A movie without music? No way!
It would be so nice to have music playing in my head, a natural part of me, as I drive, clean, work, cook, meet people, walk, shop, and so on. Hmmm, a music gene…no, a music chip that’s implanted at birth. (grin) Of course, how would you adjust the volume? Press your temple, pull your ear lobe?
Think about this frivolousness for a couple more moments…With background music in your life, as part of nature not from a chip, would it help you make decisions or act differently? Would the music warn you of impending doom or the boogeyman? Or would it crescendo after the fact? Would it send tingles down your spine or fill your heart with joy as you went about your daily life? How could it reflect on each person’s life without resulting in cacophony? Each person hears it differently?
Oh, well, just something amusing to ponder…or not. Life is dramatic enough, isn’t it? But, then again, if you are hearing music all the time without earphones, maybe you should see a doctor.
