Baby Update – She is here!!!

Harley Quinn McCallick emerged into the world yesterday morning with lots of brown hair like daddy. She weighed in at 6 pounds 3 oz. and was 19-1/2″ long. She seems so petite and elfish. Very quiet so far.

Amy is doing well, although not happy with the C-section she had to have due to her extra high blood pressure (160/108). They are at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

Although my dream wasn’t portentive about the gender, the hair matches the little crawler. Judson had a dream that the baby would be a girl, so we had a 50/50 chance in the dream competition. As soon as she gets home and sheds her hospital wear, I’ll post some other photos.

Big Sister Ripley was not impressed and did not like Mommy being all tubed up.

Congratulations! Nothing like it! Our baby girl (tough to consider a baby at her birth weight) weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz.

My three children were 8 lbs. 14 oz., 9 lbs. 9 oz., and 9 lbs. 3 oz. None of my nieces, nephews, or grandchildren have come anywhere close to those birth weights. But, a baby is a baby no matter how much/little they weigh and in your heart they will always be your baby no matter how many years pass or how big they grow. Thanks for the comment, Mike.
