Quick and Easy Apple Butter Cake

My daughter Merideth is always experimenting with desserts. Here is a quick, easy, and yummy apple butter cake recipe…

Recipe: Mer’s Apple Butter Cake

1 butter pecan cake mix
1/2 c. apple butter
1/3 c. cinnamon applesauce
3 eggs
2 cups toffee chips
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1-1/4 c. water

Directions:  Preheat oven to 350. Apply baking spray to bottom of 9×13 glass baking dish (or use coated pan). Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Pour into a 9×13 baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean in the middle. Top with glaze while warm or sprinkle with powdered sugar when cooled. Alternative: Use two loaf pans.

Thought of the Week: No one controls Mother Nature. Her beauty surrounds us, but she is unpredictably cruel.
