“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”

Forget about it! We saw this 4th sequel in 3-D and felt we could have waited for the DVD. There were no surprises or exciting scenes. Even with the mermaids, it all seemed contrived. After two hours and ten minutes, we left feeling that the actors weren’t that involved in it. Also, there were few daylight scenes, and you just knew practically everything was digitized. Depp and Rush were okay; Ian McShane made an excellent Blackbeard, but Penelope Cruz, as his daughter, was gratuitous fluff with her accent not pulling off the inuendos very well. The plot was thick and edited in the wrong places. What a disappointment!

Rating: 2.8 out of 5 stars.

P.S. Maybe if you saw it in 2-D, it would be better.
