“Captain America” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”

Hooray for Captain America! A family film. A fun movie. A good movie with a sequel already in the making, which you will see a preview of if you wait until all the credits are finished. Set during WWII, which I like going back to, a very patriotic but sickly Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, gets the opportunity of a lifetime and makes the most of it.

Rating: 3.7 out of 5 stars.

Back to the future…Call me human, but I love it when bad guys get their just deserts. “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” was excellent, perhaps the best of the three, although we missed Witwicky’s girlfriend Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox). Shia LaBeouf has perfected Sam Witwicky. I was glad they kept Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel), as well. The robot action was not so jumbled this time, looking more real. I nominate Optimus Prime for president! Then let’s see if Congress continues its shenanigans!

Rating: 3.9 out of 5 stars.
