“The Big Year”

With Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson in the cast we expected more laughs from “The Big Year,” but it was more like a documentary – interesting but not riveting. Birding can be very expensive, especially if one traipses off to all ends of the country or the globe to view elusive species. The quest can also be very costly on relationships. No thanks; I’ll stick to my backyard and delight in the half-dozen or so varieties at our feeders…In other words, wait for the DVD to come out on this movie.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars.
