“Happy Feet Two”

Nope, nope, nope on this one. Too much singing, even an aria! The “cinematography” was awesome as always, and there were more self-esteem and being different issues. Talented voices exuded funny lines, but we were sorely disappointed in “Happy Feet Two,”

The Antarctic ice is melting and cracking apart. Shifting ice has trapped a large colony of penguins. The plan becomes to dance/thump, with the aid of elephant seals, another penguin colony, a lonely puffin, and some krill (for heaven’s sake!), on the ice to topple over enough of it to create a passageway out. The movie does not flow, because the birds burst into song too often and the scene locations hop around. Self-esteem, being different, and working together issues get resolved in predictable ways. “Happy Feet Two,” a movie with good intentions and talented voices, flopped.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars.
