Stir-Fried Turkey Sausage and Veggies

In a hurry? Time running out? Hungry, but…? Well, this little recipe could be perfect for you and your family.

Recipe of the Week: Stir-Fried Turkey Sausage and Veggies

2 tsp. vegetable oil or Sesame oil
2 c. broccoli florets
1 c. red bell pepper strips
1 c. sliced carrots (You can buy fresh ones now!)
1 tsp. minced garlic (from jar or 2 cloves minced)
1 lb. cooked turkey sausage, sliced
1 can (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/2 teriyaki sauce
Prepared and ready to eat hot rice

Directions:
1. Prepare rice of your choice. While it is cooking, do the following…
2. Heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli, pepper, and carrots; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Add garlic; stir-fry 1-2 minutes. Add sausage, water chestnuts and teriyaki sauce. Increase heat to high; cook until sausage is heated through.
3. Serve over rice.
